Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F / 175°C.

Mix the sugar, cornstarch, and salt, then put the mixture in a saucepan, adding the water and butter. Cook until thick.

Step 2

Arrange the apple slices and yam pieces in a greased baking dish. Pour in the sauce.

Step 3

Roast in the oven until you think it’s done. The apples and yams should be soft.
